Not everyone is a fan of MMA. Some of the most horrific injuries you will ever witness in a cage are seen in combat sports, along with gory cuts that make even the most resilient stomachs turn to knots.
One well-known movie star, Mel Gibson, is an avid admirer of fighting. He sympathizes with athletes who endure unspeakable harm inside the Octagon, while being one of several famous people who frequently attend UFC events.

Mel Gibson talks about the experience of regularly attending the UFC.
In a recent appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, Gibson acknowledged that he occasionally finds the harm that fighters endure in the Octagon intolerable.
“I adore the UFC; I’m obsessed to it. However, I am aware that these men are”I feel sorry for them,” Gibson remarked. “Normally, I’m pretty immune to [nausea], and I knew one of the guys pretty well.” He was losing badly to Brian Ortega, who was going up against Alexander Volkanovski. On a few occasions, he nearly got him.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Wahlberg, and Mel Gibson are some of Hollywood’s biggest UFC fans.
The particular bout that Gibson referred to in the quotes above happened at UFC 266. Brian Ortega persevered through severe damage against Alexander Volkanovski to go the full five rounds in one of the best UFC featherweight bouts ever.
Compared to the early days of the sport, UFC events are not nearly as buck-wild and gory. Even though modern equipment and stricter regulations make fighting much safer, some fighters still sustain painful cuts and scars.
Gibson’s comments reflect the same sensation that many ardent followers of combat sports frequently experience, and he has no intention of renouncing his UFC love anytime soon.
